The SL XT1000A has been developed with the intention to create a fitting game partner in size and crossover frequency for the popular low / midband driver of the 18cm - class. But also the very interesting drivers of the 15 or 12 cm guild could also single or what even could be more interesting combined as a pair with the spheric wave tractrix horn- tweeter. Surely it will offer you the possibility to make very impressive sounding DŽApolitto-Constructions. Due to the length of the tractrix horns it is possible to get a perfect time alignment with the bass-midrange with a passive crossover. Passive crossovers with a dividing frequency of 1500Hz should be possible.
At the SL XT1000A the diaphragm of the driver attaches directly to the horn throat. The Ring Radiator Horn Combination can be mounted into a loudpeaker-housing or an open baffle, but also very suitable as upper part for a loudspeaker, as it comes with a round shaped edge on the outside.
